Mountain Council Reminders

Seeding procedures: 

1. Random seeds within class
2. Alternate whether boys or girls go first each race
3. Reverse order within class for second run
4. DSQs and DNFs run in their normal reverse order for second run.

Council Team Selection:
13 Girls and 10 Boys from our council will be selected to compete at the NY State Championships. “States” will be held on March 13-14 at Toggenburg.  The JIV council team selection will be determined by the best 5 of 10 runs using simple place points.  Ties will be broken by the next best run.   Only JIVs in our council will count toward the place points. JVs and JIV athletes from other councils will be stripped out of results before ranking.   Results from all races are posted on WWW.NYSSRA.ORG.  2^nd run times are provided for all competitors(including those with 1^st run DSQ/DNFs) in the “Text (PDF)” version of the results.

JIV Speed Camp:

Just a reminder, the JIV Speed Camp will be attended by all Eastern NY Councils, not just the Mountain Council.  The athletes will be randomly assigned in groups split among all participating coaches.  That means you might not train with your normal team coach.   There will not be a timed run.
